Meet Dr. Evan Woodford: Dentistry is in his DNA

Born and raised in Westbrook, CT, Dr. Evan Woodford grew up surrounded by dentistry. With a father who founded Woodford Dental over 40 years ago and a mother who practiced orthodontics until her retirement, Evan’s path into the profession felt natural. After attending Xavier High School, he graduated from Boston College with a degree in biology and a minor in history. He took a gap year to serve in AmeriCorps, teaching health education in underserved communities. Dr. Woodford went on to earn his DMD from UCONN Dental School in 2019, then completed a General Practice Residency at Danbury Hospital, where he gained extensive experience across specialties.

Today, Dr. Woodford finds joy in the artistic and transformative power of dentistry, especially in anterior esthetic work like composite restorations and veneers. With a naturally approachable personality, he's known for taking the time to explain procedures in a relatable way, helping boost each patient’s dental IQ. He is a proud member of the ADA, CSDA, Shoreline Dental Society, and Seattle Study Club, and was honored with the 2024 CSDA Rising Star Award.
